Job Description:

This position involves working on both the electrical and mechanical aspects of system production and includes some AC powered systems. Assisting in component installation and interconnection on solar control panels and testing of control functionality. Fabricate component parts (wire assemblies, brackets, etc.) as required for system construction. Duties also include processing paperwork, preparing shipments, assisting in the loading and unloading of trucks, and assembling shipments.

Responsibilities include but will not be limited to:

  • Pulling and verify quantity and quality of material shipped to customers

  • Sorting and storing finished goods in proper locations

  • Verifying and turning in documentation in support of production

  • Maintain records of all shipping transactions

Experience:

  • Prior shipping experience desirable but not required

  • Computer literate and experienced

  • Demonstrated ability to handle mathematics associated shipping material

  • High School graduate minimum

  • 2-5 years experience desired but not required

Responsibilities will include but will not be limited to:

  • Creating and maintaining current production drawings

  • Updating Quality manual and procedures as required

  • Maintaining inspection documentation

  • In-process auditing of product flowing through the manufacturing floor

  • Random final inspection of product prior to packing and shipping

  • Quality audits of the Stockroom and Manufacturing areas

  • Calibration of measuring devices

  • Training and educating employees as needed for Quality and Safety

  • Resolve and respond to customer complaints and vendor non-conformances

  • Direct the overall Quality program of ELTEC

  • Serve as Chairman of the Safety Committee and direct the safety program

  • Working within the parameters the Engineering group prescribes

Experience:

  • Knowledge of Quality Programs for a manufacturing organization

  • Ability to read and understand blueprints and wiring schematics

  • Ability to use measuring devices such as rulers, calipers, and gauges.

  • Working knowledge of Auto CAD 2008

  • Computer experience in Microsoft Word, Excel, and experience with Access Database

  • 2-5 years industrial or manufacturing technical experience or Associates Degree in a technical field.

The individual hired should aspire to head our engineering department over the next 1-2 years. Electrotechnics Corporation manufactures microprocessor based products for the traffic industry including time clocks and DC flashers. ELTEC also provides contract-manufacturing services, which includes the design of consumer timers, medical devices, control systems for industrial equipment, and training products. We program our microprocessors in C/C++.

Electrotechnics Corporation is seeking an Electrical Design Engineer who aspires to a leadership role in a small company and who possesses the following qualifications:

  • 4 year degree in Electrical/Electronics Engineering

  • 3 or more years work experience with at least 1 year designing products with microprocessors and using C/C++

  • An motivated entrepreneurial personality is a plus

  • AutoCad and/or OrCad experience a plus
